When to take a pregnancy test?
If you’re uncertain whether you need to take a test or if you’re unsure about the signs to watch for, you’re not alone. Here are a few of the most common signs and symptoms of early pregnancy:
- Missed period
- Unexpected changes in your body, such as soreness, headaches, fatigue, breast sensitivity, nausea, or vomiting

Why do I need an ultrasound?
Especially if
considering abortion, an ultrasound* will provide you with essential information about your body and pregnancy which includes:
Confirming the pregnancy is intra-uterine
The pregnancy is developing in the uterus. If not, it is an ectopic pregnancy, which is a medical emergency.
Confirming the pregnancy is viable
A viable pregnancy is determined by seeing the heartbeat. If there is no heartbeat, the pregnancy could be ending in natural miscarriage.
Determining gestational age
Our sonographers determine the age of the pregnancy based on the measurements taken.
