Life Resources of Northern Michigan provides all services to those in need free of charge, but they do come at a price. We rely on generous gifts from those who believe in what we do. Thank you for partnering with us!

Life Resources of Northern Michigan is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and all gifts are tax deductible.

Material Assistance

We appreciate and depend on material donations to assist those we serve. We welcome new and gently used baby items such as:

  • Maternity clothes
  • Infant and children’s clothing up to size 4T
  • Blankets
  • Baby furniture

Unfortunately, we cannot accept:

  • Stuffed animals
  • Used breast pumps
  • Used diaper genies/pails
  • Baby clothes over 4T
  • Car seats (new or used)
  • Used Cribs
  • Used Potty Chairs

Volunteer

We have the following volunteer opportunities available.

Client Assistant

Responsibilities: Assist and encourage clients, facilitate parenting education, follow up by telephone and/or personal contacts, make referrals.

Requirements: Active involvement in a local church and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, application, two personal references, interview, on-the-job training, attend 22 hour training seminar, in service training quarterly, work one 3½ hour shift per week with a one year commitment.

Patient Assistant

Responsibilities: Assist and encourage patients, facilitate pregnancy test patients with intake, witness ultrasound, follow up as needed, make referrals.

Requirements: Active involvement in a local church and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, application, two personal references, interview, on-the-job training, attend 22 hour training seminar, in service training quarterly, work one 3½ hour shift per week with a one year commitment.

Material Assistance

Responsibilities: Organize diapers, formula, baby food, and items donated for clients, sort and fold baby clothing for distribution to clients.

Requirements: Active involvement in a local church and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, application, two personal references, interview, on-the-job training, work one 3½ hour shift per week with a one year commitment.

Maintenance/Custodial/Laundry

Responsibilities: Light maintenance and cleaning, doing laundry for Life Resources of Northern Michigan in your home, simple repairs, some moving, lifting, and hauling when necessary.

Requirements: Flexible schedule basis as needed (schedule with Life Resources of Northern Michigan staff).

Nurse

Responsibilities: Assist and encourage patients, observe Clinic Director during ultrasound appointments, perform pregnancy tests, follow up by telephone and/or personal contacts, make referrals.

Requirements: Active involvement in a local church and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, application, two personal references, interview, on-the-job training, attend 22 hour training seminar, in service training quarterly, work one 3½ hour shift per week with a one year commitment, licensed Registered Nurse.
